Mediation Workshop – Fractured Pop-Up Collages
Arprim, 372 Saint-Catherine St
This workshop, led by Emilie Kvist, is inspired by Morgan Melenka‘s approach to collage as a means of reflecting the fractured, discontinuous visual landscape of our contemporary built spaces. It aims to create sculptural collages using images found in magazines, around the narrative of architectural ornamentation.
Participants will create their own architectural landscapes, and will be challenged to fracture their collage by creating a pop-up inspired by concepts of discontinuous visual space. This free workshop lasts 2 hours, with a demonstration at the start. Materials are available on a first-come, first-served basis. There is no age requirement, but children must be accompanied by an adult.
