
Linocut workshop with Martin Loft

This linocut workshop, hosted by Martin Akwiranoron Loft, invites participants to explore relief printmaking using pre-made lino carvings. Open to all levels, the session focuses on inking, hand-printing techniques, and experimenting with composition and layering. Participants will learn how to bring existing matrices to life while developing an understanding of process and material.
Martin Akwiranoron Loft was born and raised in Kahnawake, Mohawk Territory, and has been a professional artist for over 30 years. He works in the mediums of photography, printmaking, silver-smithing, documentation and digital arts. He was a founding member of the Native Indian Inuit Photographer’s Association (NIIPA, 1985-2000).
